Questions

How we determine offers

What goes into an offer?
  • Recent sold prices for that exact card — same player, year, set, grade and grading company
  • Condition for raw cards, grade for graded cards
  • Current demand and how much of that card we already have
  • Where the market is trending right now
What percentage of market value do you pay?
There isn't one percentage for every card. Hot, easy-to-sell cards get stronger offers; cards we already have plenty of, or that move slowly, get less. Our goal is to keep our cases full, so we make the strongest offer we can on the right cards.
Why might you pass on some of my cards?
Usually because we already have plenty in stock, the card doesn't have enough recent sales to value accurately, or it's condition-sensitive and has visible wear. It's not a judgment on your collection.
Before you visit
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in any time during buying hours. For very large collections, contact us first so we can plan time for you.
What counts as a "common" or bulk?
Standard base cards of non-star players that make up most of a set. We'll still look at bulk rookies, serial-numbered cards, autographs, relics and vintage (pre-1980) commons.
How should I organize my cards?
Separate graded from raw, group by sport or game, and put your highest-value cards on top. Sleeves and toploaders help protect raw cards on the trip in.
Do you buy Pokémon and other TCG cards?
Yes — Pokémon singles, graded cards and sealed product. For big binders full of lower-value cards, we'll make one offer on the whole lot.
Can I mail in my collection?
Yes. Contact us before shipping so we can confirm what we're interested in and give you instructions. Insure your package and include your name, phone number and return address.
Do you travel to buy collections?
Yes, for larger collections. Email us a quick description (and photos if you have them) and we'll set up a visit.
After you accept
How do I get paid?
We pay by check once you accept the offer. Please bring a valid photo ID.
Can I sell just part of my collection?
Absolutely. Pick the cards you want to sell and keep the rest — no need to sell everything together.
